Works Information Notice
Scheme: Speed Management Works, Haywards Heath/Lindfield – B2028 and B2111
Start Date: Week commencing 29th September 2008
Duration of Works: 5 weeks, weather permitting.
Summary of Scheme
The scheme objective is to undertake speed management works along the B2028 and the B2111. The works will involve white lining, coloured surfacing, signing and kerbing works.
These works form part of Phase 1 of the Speed Management project which also extends along the A272 from the East Sussex county border to the west of
Haywards Heath.
Duration
The works on the B2028 and the B2111 are planned to take 5 weeks to complete.
Hours of work
Work will generally take place from 7.30 am to 5.30pm.
Traffic management
The B2111 between the A272 and Gravelye Lane will be closed for 2 days to allow installation of new signs and clearance of overgrowth adjacent to the carriageway. Access for residents will be maintained throughout the works. The remainder of the works along the B2028 and B2111 will be carried out under temporary traffic lights or stop/go boards.
